It’s very true that your health is the most important thing in the world. You cannot be truly free, happy, joyful, and enjoy your life if you aren’t a healthy person. Why are so many people these days not as healthy as possible when there are so many resources to help them? Today, people have basically unlimited access to information that can help them so no one should be unhealthy.

The 7-Day Color Diet: The New Way to Health & Beauty Despite the fact that all this information is available, many people still eat too much, don’t exercise, ignore what their doctors tell them, don’t sleep enough, and/or abuse drugs and alcohol. Is it time to be a healthy you? You have to be willing to put in the time and the effort if you are going to be healthy.

Why is it that the United States is one of the countries with the most health problems in the world? Think about shows like The Biggest Loser where we see obese people that represent so many more obese people in our country. Why do we do that to ourselves?

Now that you realize how important your health is, what can you do to be a healthy you? The following are 7 steps to get you started:

1. Start embracing being healthy by making it the focus of your life and by using positive affirmations such as, “I am working on getting healthy and taking care of myself better.”

2. Write in a journal during the day about your feelings towards food, what you eat, what you want to eat, and how much you are exercising. Write about what is hard for you.

3. Get a pedometer so you can keep track of the number of steps you are taking every day and write that in your journal. Ideally, you should take 10,000 or more steps daily but if you aren’t there yet, don’t worry. Figure out on average how many steps you take a day and then keep adding more to it every week until you reach your goal of 10,000 steps.

4. Get rid of one unhealthy food from your diet at a time. That means cutting back on sweets, white bread, and chips.

5. Make it your goal to lose a pound every week. If you do that, you will have lost more than 50 pounds in a year.

6. Take time for yourself to participate in activities you enjoy. You have to do things you love because you deserve it!

7. Decide that this is the year you are going to be a healthy you and life life to the fullest.

These are easy steps to becoming a healthy you that can help you live a long and happy life. You only get one body so you need to focus on your health to make your life enjoyable.
